Hygeia is the Greek Goddess of health, responsible for preventative medicine and associated with living a long, vibrant life. Rooted in the concept of hygiene, Hippocratic physicians expanded their understanding of health to include not only physical well-being, but also nutrition. Today, as we face rising rates of nutrition-related health challenges, it is clear that the foods we eat play a critical role in shaping long-term health and vitality.
